1. Greeting
The
WUSB-President, Wolfgang Ketzler greets all present,
particularly the St. Bernard friends from France, who
participate for the first time.
2. Greeting-word of
the president of the Czech St. Bernard Club
3. Minutes from
Lichtenfels 2001
Against the minutes
from 2001 are raised no objections.
4. Report of the
president and review on the last year
Wolfgang
Ketzler reports on the events of the last year. It was a very
quiet year. At the begin there were some discrepancies because
of the date of the WUSB. The reproach, the date would have been
postponed, is wrong. No fixed date was announced in Lichtenfels.
He explains the problem of the club of New South Wales and
announces that the club is still member. Furthermore, he reports
on the membership application of the Slovenian St. Bernard-Club.
The application has come too late. Julian Hernandez from Spain
has applied for the WUSB-Show 2004. Unfortunately the
application cannot be considered as long as it is not put
officially and the internal club-issues are not clarified in
Spain.
Wolfgang
Ketzler regrets that some clubs not yet have paid the "Barry
International". He asks desperately for disposal.
5. Reports of the
secretary and the treasurer
The
secretary has got some complaints that the Barry-printings were
delievered packed badly, so that some copies could not be used.
She will get in connection with Kari Augestad.
The
treasurer, Mister Roland Hans, is excused and has handed over
his cash register-report in writing. Wolfgang Ketzler reads out
the figures.
6. Report of the
editor of "Barry International"
Jan van de
Belt complains to the repeated time about it that too few
contributions and pictures are sent by the clubs from the single
countries to him. Kari Augestad has told him tha the
5-years-contract will end. A renew must still be negotiated. Too
few advertisings come furthermore. It is determined that this is
because of it, that the Barry appears too irregular and the
advertisings are relatively expensive for it.
7.
Pronunciation over the reports and current situation in the WUSB
and its member-clubs
- over it
was discussed under the other items -
8. WUSB-Show-Rules
On the
basis of the difficulties in the single countries in reference
on two judges in the ring, award of the CAC etc. a decision must
be made here in principle.
After
longer discussion, following possibilities stand by the
selection:
1. The
WUSB-rules were not altered
2. It is
altered indicating that only one judge is in the ring
3. No more
CAC is forgiven, two judges remain in the ring, as it was in
WUSB-Shows originally in the beginning.
The
member-clubs should speak about the possibilities and shall send
its suggestions up to the 31.12.2002 to the WUSB-President. In
the next delegates-meeting, one should decide on it.
One votes
on the motion.
Unanimously
9. Proposition of the
Bernhardiner-Club-Germany on full membership
The
proposition of the BCD was sent to the delegates. Marianne Ruß,
the President of the BCD, explains the club's status. They are
member without right to vote with full payment of the
contribution.
Wolfgang
Ketzler reads out the statutes and the letters in this issue
from the different clubs and the letter of the president of the
German St. Bernhards-Klub, in which he refuses it, to hand over
a voice.
Marianne
Ruß gives evidance of the following: in a conversation with the
president of the St. Bernhards-Klub, Peter Brieskorn, he has
said to her that he would have nothing to object to it that the
St. Bernhards-Klub a voice at the BCD would hand over.
Wolfgang
Ketzler explains the contexts to the meeting. At the beginning
this problem was not existing, since there was only one club per
country. As the BCD applied for membership, it became member
under the named conditions. It is matter of each single country,
how they apportion their votes in the WUSB. The delegates have
actually no possibility to decide this matter.
As a result
Marianne Ruß offers a compromise proposal. She withdraws the
proposition, asks the Board to consider the matter and will put
an application on statutes-alteration in the next year.
10. Report of the
Switzerland over the current stand of the standard-revision
The
representative of the Swiss St. Bernard-Club, Reto Wiederkehr,
reports, that there are nothing news at the moment. The
publication of the new standard will still last sometimes, since
the corresponding drawings are still missing.
11. Establishment of
the X-raying in all member-clubs
It is
pleasant that in the single countries Saint Bernards are x-raid
on HD more and more. However, it still works out in some
countries difficult, because the umbrella organizations don't
play along.
Wolfgang
Ketzler asks the representatives of the clubs to apply with
effort to their members for x-raying the dogs. This can first
happen on voluntary basis. One could think later about a
breeding-limitation.
The meeting
now have a discussion, in which is spoken also over it, whether
perhaps. a certificate by the WUSB can be produced for breeders,
who x-ray their dogs.
As a
result, the delegates-meeting makes following decision:
The
member-clubs of the WUSB commit themselves to make large efforts
that its members x-ray their dogs and to publish the results.
Unanimously
12. Last piece of
information abut the WUSB-Show 2002
Otakar
Vondrous reports, that only 6 judges are available for the show
on the next day and therefore a division on four rings with 2
judges is not possible. The problem is discussed. The meeting
comes to the result that it will be judged in 3 rings with two
judges. On the basis of the entries of 95 dogs, this is possible
easy.
Unanimously
13. Piece of
information of the Belgian club about the WUSB-Show 2003
The
President of the Belgian Club, Franky de Tandt, gives the
meeting an extensive overview about the WUSB-weekend 2003. The
date is the 07. / 08.06.2003 (Pentecost) in St. Truiden. Franky
de Tandt hands out a folder to all present with records over the
place St. Truiden and information about the Belgian club.
He tells
furthermore that it is certainly an incentive for the exhibitors
that takes place the World-Dog-Show a week before in Dortmund
and at the 09.06.2003 a CACIB-Show in Arnheim.
Wolfgang
Ketzler thanks for the good information.

Ketzler
Wolfgang Ketzler welcomes judges and guests
heartily.
He informs the meeting that only
six judges are available in the Show tomorrow because of the absence of
some judges. Therefore, one judges in this year only in three rings. One
will draw lots for the naming of the judges for the 3 rings, as usually,
in the evening in the banquet.
He reports on the decision of the

To this item of the agenda, Otakar Vondrous
has invited four dogs from the Czech republic. Erika Kalscheuer has
prepared an evaluation-form, in which the dogs are judged after points.
She hands out the form to the present judges. The dogs are presented
separately. After each judge has forgiven his points, all discussed the
results.
Many interesting discussions result from it,
in which the different opinions are represented.
After approximately. 1 hour, all dogs are
judged and been discussed extensively. The judges are agreed that such
judgments and discussions at the living object are very helpful for an
homogeneous judging.
After that Wolfgang Ketzler closes the
judges-meeting, wishes all a beautiful and interesting weekend and the
judges the right touch for their activities.
